Haniyah Naeem is a compassionate and dedicated criminal defense and immigration attorney in Houston, Texas, serving clients throughout the Greater Houston area and surrounding communities.

As an immigrant raised in Panama, Haniyah brings a deeply personal understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families navigating the U.S. criminal justice and immigration systems. She is proud to be part of the diverse legal team at Adrogué Law Firm, PLLC, where she advocates with empathy, cultural awareness, and unwavering commitment.

Fluent in Spanish and Urdu, Haniyah communicates directly with clients in their native language, helping them feel heard, understood, and empowered during some of the most stressful moments of their lives. Haniyah earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University in 2016 and her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2019.

During law school, she was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Varsity Team and competed in the Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon in New York, where her team placed first and earned the title of National Champions in 2019.

She also completed internships at:

• Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics, assisting with immigration, asylum, human trafficking, family, and domestic violence matters

• Texas Civil Rights Project, working with Judge Natalia Cornelio of the 351st District Court to advocate for the civil rights of incarcerated individuals in Harris County

These experiences strengthened her litigation skills, client advocacy, and commitment to social justice.

Haniyah has been practicing law since 2020. She began her career as a prosecutor in Nueces County and Harris County, where she first-chaired trials and represented the State of Texas in a wide range of criminal proceedings.

In 2023, she joined Adrogué Law Firm, PLLC, where she now represents clients in criminal defense and immigration matters with dedication and integrity.
